Setareh Pourrajabi: Resonance in the Liminal

  • Touchstone Gallery 901 New York Avenue NW Washington D.C 20001 United States (map)

Opening Reception: Saturday, July 12 from 4-7 pm

Resonance in the Liminal—where the boundaries of being blur and the echoes of transformation reverberate. This exhibition marks the first solo show by artist Setareh Pourrajabi at Touchstone Gallery, showcasing acrylic paintings enriched with collaged elements such as sponge, chaff, and other tactile materials.

Pourrajabi’s works explore threshold moments of the human experience, where inner reverberations accompany transitions and change. She invites viewers to contemplate the liminal space—where the lines between past and future, certainty and doubt, being and becoming begin to dissolve. In this in-between realm, a deeper understanding of self and the surrounding world begins to emerge.

Setareh Pourrajabi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Painting from Soore University of Art in Tehran, Iran. She moved to the United States in 2014 and has been a member of Touchstone Gallery since 2023.
