To apply for a solo artist spotlight, visual artists must submit a concise portfolio of 3–5 imagesand a short artist statement & bio as a single PDF. Visual artists may, but not required to, submit a single page proposal document (a second PDF). Selected artists will work with the Gallery Director to finalize works for display.The area provided for the weeklong solo artist spotlight exhibitions will be approximately 8-10 linear feet. The exact layout will be determined by the Gallery Director, in consultation with the selected artist’s requirements and needs. Some pedestals and the ability to suspend works can be provided.There will be three rounds to submit solo artist visual arts spotlight applications, with deadlines on January 25, March 29, and August 24.Artists may only submit one application per round. Artists not accepted or waitlisted in an earlier round may resubmit, but are encouraged to resubmit with updated artworks. Waitlisted artists will be given priority evaluation in the next round.APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONSApplicants will register with biographical information and check out on this site. Upon successful checkout, they will receive a confirmation email with a link to upload their portfolio PDF (and optional proposal). Once the documents are confirmed and reviewed, the application will be confirmed with a second email. Applications must be registered by 7:00 pm ET on Sunday, January 25 but documents may be uploaded until 11:59 pm ET on Sunday, January 25.Artists applying for the visual solo artist spotlight call must upload a single PDF portfolio document that includes: Page 1:> Artist name> Short artist statement> Short artist bio> Links to websites or additional images (optional)> For student artists under 18, please include both the artist’s name educator or guardian’s name.
Pages 2-6: > 3-5 artwork images with title, size, media, and price (if applicable). Note: More than one image per page is permitted
