AMY SABRIN

About the Artist

Amy Sabrin has lived in Washington, D.C. for 45 years. Before retiring in 2011 to devote full time to painting and traveling, Amy worked as a journalist with the Associated Press, and then practiced white-collar criminal defense law. She was a partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP.

All the while, Amy made art. Her work reflects Amy's attraction to joyous colors, bold composition, and glowing light.  Watercolors and acrylics are her preferred media.  She takes her paints with her when she travels, and has painted in the south of France, Italy, Mexico, the Bahamas, and the American Southwest, as well as in and around the Washington area and Bethany Beach.  Amy’s prize-winning works have appeared in juried shows at the Art League Gallery in Alexandria, the Yellow Barn Gallery in Glen Echo, Maryland, and the Hill Center Galleries in Washington, D.C.

Sabrin is also a juried member of the Potomac Valley Watercolorists. She has a studio at City Lin Studios, Chevy Chase, Maryland.
