“Hey, Heisenberg, Have You Seen My Cat?” - Inspired by the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and Schrödinger’s Cat

Sometimes called the second most famous equation in physics, the Heisenberg uncertainty principle states that you can determine either the location or the momentum of a particle but not both at the same time.

Schrödinger’s cat is the subject of a thought experiment based on the uncertainty principle that describes conditions under which a cat can be thought of as both dead and alive at the same time. In these unsettled, times, the concepts of quantum physics seem philosophically applicable to the macro world.

Heisenberg showed us that uncertainty is the nature of things. We do not know exactly where we are now or where we will be in the future. Are our time-honored values—honesty, integrity, democracy—still alive? Or are they dead? It’s uncertain.
