"Pair-ings" by Steve Alderton

"Pair-ings" focuses on the chemistry between works of art, a chemistry that is hard to describe--but you know it when you see it.  Individual works (in this case, paintings from both new and earlier series), when combined, highlight new elements in each other, expand on each other's narrative, or excite the sense perhaps because of an artful pairing of opposites. It's an exploration of art-based synergy. press release
