Young develops her imagery from reflections of things seen and experienced in nature.  She is interested in nature.  She is interested in the rhythms and tensions of the natural worlds.  In this series, the tree/forest is explored in some of its symbolism in mythology.  Also tree/forests can be a place of meditation or of dangers.
