I love folk art and my paintings are commentaries on the Brazilian social milieu. I also study Native Brazilian cultures, especially the art of the Ge and Tupi speaking peoples. In fact, some of my works present traditional Ge and Tupi patterns related to nature and the universe. But for me, regardless of cultures, art goes parallel to life; it is a sensible way to know the world. Consequently, my art reflects on things which talk about Humanity and occur not only in class differences, but also in human relations per se.
